BlueOptics© CFP, CFP2 and CFP4 Transceivers for 100G Data Transmissions

CBO, the manufacturer of products for fiber and copper based high speed networks, expands the BlueOptics transceiver range with 100G CFP, CFP2 and CFP4 transceivers for 100 Gigabit 9/125µm singlemode (SMF) links to ranges of up to 10 kilometers.

BlueOptics CFP, CFP2 and CFP4 modules (100 Gigabit Small Form Factor Pluggable) are hot-swappable I/O solutions of various sizes that can be operated in 100G CFP/CFP2/CFP4 ports of switches, routers and similar hardware in local area networks and data centers. All generations of BlueOptics CFP transceiver modules are equipped with integrated WDM TOSA (transmitter) / ROSA (receiver) lasers, as well as multiplexers and demultiplexers.

BlueOptics 100G CFP transceivers feature a CAUI electrical interface, cooled DFB WDM laser transmitters and highly sensitive PIN receivers with a total power consumption of less than 12 watts. The form factor bundles ten parallel 10.3GB/s data streams into four optical WDM 25.78GB/s signals over a 4-track optical interface and vice versa. Connection is via a duplex LC connector on the optical interface and a 148-pin connector on the electrical interface. BlueOptics 100G CFP transceivers are attached to the port via two side-mounted screws.

BlueOptics 100G CFP2 transceivers are only about half the size of the CFP variant and, like the CFP4 transceivers, which are about half the size again, have the same dimensions as the CFP2 transceivers.
